2005 acura tl automatic downshifting issue
Hey was wondering if anyone had any issues with there 05 acura tl at like 40 miles an hour i can feel the car downshift when i am going to stop or is that just normal?...car shifts fine just feels like its a little rough coming down around 40mph
Yeah, I think I agree with TL/GTX. It' the grade-logic. Or at least just the normal downshift. It happens on my 04 and I suspect it happens on most of these 3G TL's. It's more noticable when slowing down quickly (off ramp) on a downhill slope. If it is really bothersome, then you may have a problem, but I think that a little feeling of the downshift is normal. I wondered why my brakes tightened up around 40 also, but I started looking closer and noticed it was downshifting at that speed.

my car was doing, that so I took it to the dealer and they said last time they had this problem, they replaced the tranny. So I got a new tranny with fresh fluids and an alignment all under warranty. if its still under warranty, take it in.
Hmmm well since you got the tranny replaced is it still doing that because it seems pretty normal on everyone elses or did ya just get lucky and have a nice dealer that was willing to replace it for the hell of it because that doesnt happen to often
doesnt do it anymore on the new tranny.
