I have a 2004 tl that quit in the garage just after start up. Car is in time has spark and fuel and compression. new plugs were added also. Car turns over and gas fouls the plugs. Finally took the car to acura. They say low compression. I feel that the cylinders are gas washed so much there is less compression now. When I did the compression I got 125 across the board and it had been cranked enough to wash some of the oil off then too. Acura solution is a new engine but they can't seem to answer the fuel problem. I think the injector pulse is too long on all but one cylinder because they say one cylinder has 150 psi. They say it is not a computor problem and that everything is within peramiters. Car has 98,000 and has never been abused or run hot. Any Ideas?

 

any previous issues with the motor?
You're sayin right now it will still continue to crank but wont turn over? Any DTCs? Does the immobilizer light blink while you crank?
Does the battery have sufficient charge(battery may have power to crank; but not enough power to supply electricity to other control modules necessary for start up)

 

No codes no previous problems with motor. Battery fully charged and checked. Not sure about immobilizer. What would that mean?
