2004 TL (Problem after problem :(_)

Hi guys,

This is really pesky and I'm !!

For those who've read my other thread you'd know I recently got my new tranny (rebuilt) new engine mounts and etc... After all this trouble and money spent, I was hoping I wouldn't have anymore problems for awhile and can drive my car peacefully. But I guess my car hates me :/! This started happening today while I was going to work; my car started shaking when braking or coming to full stop (It's mostly rush hour when I go to work and come home from work...) and once the traffic started moving and I'd accelerate and I would feel the skip ALL THE TIME. I was so afraid and was praying to GOD, please just let me get to work! Car DON'T BREAK DOWN OR I KEEL YOU! Well thankfully I was able to get to work and back home and it didn't break down, but the problem is still there. Coming home from work I experienced the same issues, shaking when braking/coming to full stop and skipping when accelerating.

Also, this is so weird or perhaps its me, but when I'm going 60 MPH my car doesn't change gears it is between 1-2; even though, i'm pressing the gas pedal, it would pick up speed slowly but wouldn't change gears , isn't that weird?!

Edit: It does however changes gears when picking up speed from a stop light, but once its above 50 MPH it comes right back down and if I let the gas pedal go the pin will immediately drop to 1 like in seconds! I never noticed that before until today

Car has 116xxx mi on it and I've gotten pretty much all the services and oil changes done recently

I can really use some help

Thank you guys!

Sound like you'll need another transmission.

Is it safe to drive the car in this condition?

I read your PM and replied, like I've mentioned I have to work and without a car it'll be really difficult

You can take it to Autozone or Advance auto parts. They'll do it for you. And you shouldn't drive the car on this condition. Because it might causing any other problem on your car. Maybe not now, but in the future.
