My daughters 04 TL front light was out so i ordered some lights. I change the bad one and after i turned on the lights and both lights worked. i turned the lights off and back on but the one i replaced didn't turn on not sure what happened but i check the igniter and it looked burnt, see pick. I check the fuses and all looked fine. Also the high beams don't work on that said also. Anyone have any clues as what it might be or could have caused the igniter to burn?

 

Does the ballast control both high and low beam lights?

 

there's only one bulb for low/high. when you click 'high' on the stalk, it drops drop a mechanical solenoid in the projector to go 'high'


That igniter looks bad.

 

duh, not sure why i thought there were separate. ya it does look bad. I am going to replace it. Hopefully its not the ballast.
