So, on my 1 month new to me TL, I seem to have a problem with the doorlock on the drivers door.

When I use the remote or even the in-car door lock operators, the drivers door lock will lock, but not unlock.

When you press the unlock button and it is in the locked position, all the rest unlock, but it makes a different (only way to describe it) noise, and vibrates but does not unlock. Any ideas?

I'm thinking (hoping) its simply a bad actuator rather than Multiplex that I saw some other users have problems with, because if it was the multiplex, all the locks wouldnt work properly, amirite?

 

Sounds like the lock acuator is bad. Does it make a buzzing or humming sound instead of locking/unlocking?

 

you might want to take it back to where you bought it, they may cover the cost of repairs for you

 

yea I'd say its more of a crunch noise from the drivers door locks.

And I bought it from a private seller, but its still under extended warranty so I'll be heading to an Acura dealership this week I guess.

 

Odd. I'd definitely take it back to the dealer. Only owning it for 1 month they should definitely fix it for you at NO COST.

 

Yea, I'm just worried because the dealer I will have to go to is 5+ hours from where I bought the car from a private seller.
