2004 Acura TL Auto transmission leak

I have a slight leak from my automatic transmission coming from the TOP bolt located on the drivers side. I have taken a couple pictures to show the location. My question is; can that bolt be removed and inspected for washer failure due to corrosion as i suspect that is the cause. any input as to the fix for this leak is appreciated.

Just thought I'd ask again if anybody knows what this bolts function is on the D/S side of the auto transmission on a 2004 Acura TL. I think the washer failed, causing a fluid leak. I am wondering can it be removed and a new crush washer replaced. but don't want to remove it if it's holding something in place. Any help would be appreciated.

Ok, I took the leap. Unscrewed the bolt part way, used a good quality RTV gasket sealant and so far no leak.

UPDATE - RTV wouldn't hold. Fix was to remove bolt and found the aluminum washer was shot. Replaced washer w/5/16" aluminum washer located at Lowes, yep, Lowes. No auto parts stores carried aluminium washers. Cost of washer, $.64 for 4.

Lowes has saved me a few times.
Thanks for updating the thread for others who may encounter the same.

Is it a normal washer or a lock washer?

I've personally never seen anything except copper crush washers but I'll look into it.

Std aluminium crush washer. I say "crush" but Lowes doesn't.
