EGR Code

Could be that the EGR is stuck open. Either way, I'd replace it.

I'm not sure about the price.

Does the car feel like it's going to stall at idle? Does it return to normal when you start driving?

no it not normal. it did not stay idle and would shut off but then i gassed. i have kept my foot on the gas at all time. held it at 2-3k rpm so it would shut off while driving.

Probably the EGR stuck open. Could be the TCC stuck on, but I think a different MIL would come on.

The EGR should be off/closed during idle but the car should be fine at cruising with the engine warm.

Yeah, I'd go first with a "stuck open" EGR valve. Pop it off and check it. Could have some crap keeping it stuck open. May be as simple as blowing it out with compressed air. See this thread:

Sorry to bring this thread back up.

The service manual scan link isn't working anymore. Can a moderator add a new link?

Thanks!

It's very easy to replace. No need for a manual. There's only 2 nuts holding it on
