08 Window Squeak. Faulty Tint Job!?!?
I notice whenever I raise my front (driver/passenger) windows, they would occassionally squeak. I have installed 35% tint all the way around, but prior to the window squeaking, when I raised the window, I noticed a piece of white "paper-towel" style cloth sticking from the inside of the window (more towards the driver mirror and not the door lock). I come to realize after popping out the door panel, that this same cloth I'm speaking of is actually used as lining in the door panel.
Has anyone had a similar situation? Could this be due to the window tint install? What should I do? Thanks

I had the same paper towel material before I got the tint done. The tint shop took care of it during the tint job. The front of the door panel had a big piece and I just shoved it behind the door panel. My bigger issue is when I roll down the window after it's been raining the inside of the glass is soaking wet. Never had that problem on the last 5 cars I've owned.

So I took it to the acura dealership, they first asked me if it was due to the tinted windows. (I was one step ahead of them on this question, because I heard dealerships would void the warranty on windows if they thought it was due to tinting). My response was I bought it used that way (I did just by it used a month ago, but the front windows weren't tinted.) Turns out the front part of the window near the hinge was dirty, all they did was lube up the interior now it sounds great (no squeaks!). I don't see the cloth sticking out anymore, maybe they tucked it in or something...either way looks/sounds good as new.
