'08 TL water leak on drivers seat

Hello,

I get a leak after rain that wets my driver's seat on the far left side near the door. I have a towel on the seat to protect my jeans from staining and notice it is wet in the morning after it rains.

I've looked at a lot of threads on here regarding this and don't see any where this specific spot gets wet. Don't know if it is maybe sunroof drain related or the trim along the door.

Trim looks fine from the outside and the headrest is dry so not sure how to fix this issue. Any help or direction would be really appreciated. Thanks in advance.

did you checked the sun roof draining tube that lead down? if it get clog the water will over flow into the car.

It was the sunroof drain for me...if it rains a lot and you're parked on any sort of incline, the water can go over the little sunroof lip that keeps it out.

Thank you both very much for the feedback. I am parked on a slight incline so it may be the sunroof. I just checked and the two front drains look clear. I'll have to see if the back ones are clear as I couldn't see them. If it is a leak from there, would it get the headliner wet as well? Where does it often leak from? The edge of the sunroof on the interior? The roof never appears wet nor does the trim inside of the top of the window. Thanks again gentlemen

I find the water to be coming from where the driver a pillar meets the roofline...

I don't think the headliner would be wet, its just slightly over flow by the rubber seal. May be you can find some long rod trying to clear the passage, it may look clear but you can't see all the way down.
