'08 TL-S A spec install issues

Whats up, I got the front and side a spec pieces installed earlier rather easily, pulled my rear bumper off and went to start drilling the holes out and what do you know the circles that mark where to drill are not there! I have 9 holes to drill and not a trace of any of the marks and my bumper has the HM sticker on it with my vin number!

Have any of you ever experienced this bullsh*t?

I either have to find another bumper and make a template from it somehow or spend $240+ money to paint a new one and hope it has the marks too...

Any suggestions or comments welcome.

I used a cleaner and a rag and a bunch of LED lights and wiped it clean, there was not even a hint of a mark...

Were the marks the same as on the front bumper? They were very clear I spotted them right away.

Is there a "Honda" stamped anywhere on the bumper?

Seems like it would be an aftermarket bumper cover to me.I wonder if they swapped the tags over

Id question if it is an aftermarket bumper, too.
Only OEM bumpers have the marking.

This also happened to me. Install took about a hour for my rear lip.

I had the same problem. I just laid the bumper down and the kit over it. I did my best to line where the black lines were supposed to go through. I ended up making 2 random holes from some mistakes but my lip kit covered it.

Cool thanks guys, guess I can lay it down like suggested above and do some guess work... I think if I carefully measure I can line up half of the holes pretty close.

I knew my car had been tapped in the back once (just cosmetic) but I am surprised someone cheaped out on an aftermarket bumper, the OEM one is only $250 shipped but needs to be painted which sucks.

That surprises me because I ordered them from one of the oem vendors on here. I forget who it was since it was about a year or 2 ago.

had same issue here. turns out i had an aftermarket rear bumper when i bought the car and didn't know it.

just line it up the best you can and you should be fine.

luckilly for me, someone tapped my rear bumper a few months after install so i ordered a brand new OEM bumper and the lip transfer was seamless.

good luck to you.
