You are in North NJ, so this is all you need to know - https://acurazine.com/forums/ny-nj-3...rth-nj-883797/

I believe there are more threads, but everyone raves about Paul and his work.

Yeah i met up with him once to have him check my car out, about a year ago. But before i made this post i reached out to him and no reply. left a text and called a few hours later. So i figured hes not doing house calls anymore or i'm not really sure tbh.

Depends on where the axle is purchased, the OEM is $276/$199, not a bad deal, or an aftermarket axle can be purchased e.g. RockAuto $43+shipping, then the deal doesn't sound that good.

Gotcha, however if he is working / busy / vacation, he may not be able to respond right away. Maybe give it another couple of days Not sure how dire your situation is.

OEM all the way, unless you want shaking and going back with another draining and filling of your transmission fluid. I haven't experienced it but read alot about it. I purchased the passenger side for $350 cdn and installed by my mech for cheap (which may not be the case for everyone). For 275 it sure isn't OEM.

If that is a new OEM axle with install, that's one hell of a deal!

A lot of Honda Accord folks swear by Raxles units (any search engine will find them); apparently as good or better than the OEM units, and a bit less expensive to boot.

I believe they only sell for AT since the OEM MT axles are around $200 a piece. 05 AT axles were around $500 a piece. Also you have to take into account to receive a core charge you can't send yours in if you are in a climate where salt is used.

Interesting; looks like I'm going to get the opportunity to buy some new OEM axles sooner or later for my 2006 TL 6-Speed.

There's only 1 man to call, and that's Paul, our star master mechanic in Northern NJ.
He'll tell ya the best place to get them and then he'll do the install at a reasonable price - 201-562-8576

I wish I saved my email from them regarding axles. They made it sound like they didn't offer them because they were so cheap to go OEM. My mistake, maybe I misread the email I received.
