'07 Type S issues!

Hi! Im new around here so I hope that I am posting this in the correct place, but I recently got a 07 TL Type S and I have been having some issues with it and was wondering if you all had any suggestions! When I purchased the car the prev owner gave me 2 keys. The one that I am using daily is having some weird things going on with it. It doesnt always work! I will go out in the morning to get in and the unlock and trunk buttons dont work so I use the key in the door to unlock it and push the trunk button to open it. After I get to where I am going the buttons will lock and unlock the rest of the day, its just first thing in the morning... Weird!

Second question: Is there a way to get around having to push OK on the navi every time I go anywhere? Its annoying.

Third question: Sometimes my presets on the radio as well as the XM all reset but then the next time I take the car out, they are all magically fixed and back to the stations I picked!

Any suggestions? Thanks!

Congrats on the new Type S. I would recommend changing the battery in the key fob and see if that works. Cheapest way to find out if its the battery or the fob. With the nav, I'm not sure. It annoys me also but I'm not sure that there is a way around it since it is for a safety reason. And the radio, I've never heard of that. Hopefully more guys on here have dealt with these problems and can help you out.

Your third question is the answer!!!!!!!!!!!
the only time radio stations reset is if the car loses power.
like a disconnection with the battery!!!!

please check battery connection.
it might be loose or be corroded or maybe even time to replace.

once you have solved that; i bet your keys will unlock the door every single time.

and over time; you'll accept the nav nag okay warning.
or, if your nav disc is hackable you can disable the nag warning all together.

search for the thread that describes how to hack the nav disc

I will try changing the battery! I am sure I will get use to the warning on the navi, its just an annoyance bc ive never had to do that in any of my other cars. Thanks!

If the battery loses power though, how would the stations come back at a later time? Wouldn't they just be gone? That is what I am so confused about... I also had a problem with the HFL so I just unplugged it so that it doesnt kill the battery and will replace it soon. Ive seen on here that it is a common problem.

Hmmmm...
could be a fuse then?
im just guessing.

or the battery might be losing connection JUST enough to where it resets radio stations but come back up!?

It something to do with your key. Change the key battery and pair it with the car. You have to press and hold both lock and unlock or something, its on the back of your keyfob, mine is too faded lol.

It would solve your radio issue aswell, as radio presets and seat memory are all linked to your key.

Does you seat memory work ok if you switch from 1to 2 ?
Bad mirror actuators might be causing issues

The memory does switch from 1-2 and the car recognizes which fob I use.
