07 TL Type-S AC Not Working Correctly
I recently purchased a 2007 Acura TL type-S 6 speed manual transmission and it appears that the air conditioning system is not working correctly as there is no cold air being blown out of the vents whenever I try and turn the system on. I am thinking there may be a leak in the system somewhere as I do not hear the compressor come on whenever I turn the air conditioning system on - possibly resulting in a low amount of refrigerant. I read that the compressor will not come on if the refrigerant level is low enough to prevent it from becoming damaged. Would it be logical for me to assume that there is a leak in the system somewhere based on the information that I have stated? If so, would it be smart of me to try and refill the refrigerant in the system and see how long it would last until it goes back to blowing hot air again (assuming that there is a leak in the system somewhere). Any and all input would be helpful! thanks.
There are many, many threads on this topic already. If you do a search you'll find a ton of information. In summary, could be the field coil, AC Relay, leak in the system, or other things. But searching for these few things will get you started with troubleshooting.
