Driver's seat not working correctly...help

The driver's seat doesn't move forward automatically when I lift the seatback to allow passengers to access the back seat. What can I check to try and fix this? Thanks.

Of course my tranny is in Park. I'm not leaving my seat without putting it in Park!!! The passenger seat works perfectly, but the driver's seat won't move out of the way.

Any ideas anyone??

Look for things that might obstruct the rails. There are sensors detecting obstruction.

Actually I just had my car at the dealer to fix this problem. They said I had a blown Seat Back, whatever that is. It is doing exactly what yours is. I'm also assuming your memory switches aren't working? They needed to order the part, so I'm waiting. . .

Seat memory is working. Everything except for this problem is working for the seat. I didn't check for obstructions in the rail yet, but I don't think that is it either. The reason I don't think that is the reason is because I can still move seat forward. The seat moves in every direction. Seat heaters work. Only thing that doesn't work is automatic forward when accessing the back seat.

Thanks for the help. I will try everything everyone has suggested.
