'07 TL S Starter Part #

Hey guys, I'm having issues with finding the correct starter for my 2007 TL Type-S Manual Transmission.
Everyone I go to says I need this starter or similar
http://www.oreillyauto.com/site/c/de...1920&ppt=C0330
But that starter is not even close. The starter I have has the spindle coming straight out the end while the 19011 part has the spindle on the side.
The only part number on the old starter is SM-44248. No one can cross reference anything that fits. Everything they find is CLOSE, but the clocking of the mounting bolt holes are off. The ones that are close have the spindle set directly between the two mounting bolt holes while the one off my car has the spindle offset about half an inch to the side of the mounting bolt holes. I don't want to pay the $400 Acura is trying to charge me for the part and I don't want to order one online and have it be the wrong one... Help?
And also, one of the parts shops did look up my VIN but no part numbers cross referenced with the dealer part that showed up.

The problem is that the aftermarket sites list the starter for the A/T and although they are diffferent, don't differentiate between A/T & M/T starters, probably because they carry a starter for the M/T version.
Your starter is for the '07-'13 TL with M/T.

Having said that, have yours rebuilt.

Go to www.car-part.com and give them a call to see the price of the used starters. The only prices listed are for the yards in Canada.

It's listed here as a MITSUBA SM-44246 for $277 (from Acura): Acura Parts @ AcuraOEMparts.com - Genuine Acura OEM Parts from Delray Acura

The Acura P/N is 31200-RDB-A01.

Note this is for an 07 type s 6mt.

I replaced mine twice (first one went bad after a month). It is definitely this one on the 2007 Acura TL Type S

Not oem. If opting out for aftermarket parts, it's probably better to buy one from chain store that offers lifetime warranty (as autozone), so when it eventually kicks the bucket you have plenty of stores around whole states that can give you the new part.
