07 TL 3.2 shake/jerk after warm

Just recently started having an issue where, once the vehicle is warmed up and has been driven for awhile, at a stop light the car will shake or shimmy suddenly every few seconds. This doesn't happen right away, I'd say after about 20-30 minutes of drive time.

I've watched the RPM's as it happens and the needle doesn't move. I've also pulled into a parking lot after this happens and it does the same in park. It doesn't seem to drive differently or shift abnormally while driving, just at idle.

I've looked at other similar posts, but nothing has been described exactly as I'm experiencing. Any ideas on what I should check?

How many miles is on it? Sounds like throttle body needs a good cleaning.

^thoiboi is on the correct thinking...but perhaps EGR and not throttle body.
the throttle body would need to be FULLY blocked in order for some weird shenannigans to occur

^inspect the EGR valve.

take off the plastic covers and the EGR will be in the middle, pretty close to the top radiator hose

Looks like it should be pretty easy to access, I'll check this and post results. Is this a recommended replacement after this many miles?

inspect it! usually, carbon deposits will block the passage way.
just clean or knock away carbon deposits. then re-install.

Okay, I'm going to go for a drive shortly. I'm going to try and get it to happen again and then I'll inspect and make a similar drive and post results.

Doesn't look like anything is blocked unless I'm looking at the wrong items

you have the correct one.

we're troubleshooting. the only thing i could think of that could cause hesitation or funny idle that you could inspect easily.
now, we know it's not the EGR

Looking closer at the tach, it seems that it runs normally when the needle is right on the 7. It will then jerk and the needle will slightly move just below the 7 and then gradually go right back to it.
