07 Roof Replacement

Hello all!

I have an 07 type-s and am working on replacing the roof. Has anyone tackled this before? How many spot weld should there be? I can't find ANY info online.

Thanks!

You should be able to find where the new roof will lay, so just start grinding/cutting, bit don't cut the support under the roof.
Personally, I'd grind the spot welds off, rather than drilling them out and leaving the holes.

44 is the answer! Another weird thing about the TLs... They only have a support in the front and in the back for the roof. They also come out with the skin. A deer hit me on the way to work and the insurance company wanted to total my type s 6speed. Rather than that they paid me the estimate and I fixed it myself! Pretty proud of the end results!

Thanks for your answer though!

I take it the deer didn't have insurance?

Do you have a salvage title now then?

Lol... And the bastard never even stopped to see if we were ok.

Nope! I ended up going back and forth enough with them about the value of the car that they just gave in to paying me 4k they estimated for the fix. A trip to lkq and 500 bucks later... She's back to new lol.
