'06 TL slight vibration at start up

I searched and I didn't see any topic on this.

I have a 2006 5at with 55k. And at initial start up the car shakes a little bit in park. Not really that bad but enough to notice. I was wondering if maybe you guys thought it was a bad mount or maybe a ignition problem. Any input would be appreciated.

I'd lean more towards a motor mount, have a look at the trans mounts inside the driver's wheel well. Get under the hood and tug on the side/front/rear brackets and see if you can get any to expose play.

could be bad mounts but from what i've read some vibration especially when cold is normal. Engine's running in a certain way to speed up the warm up process.

at 55k with original mounts yours are probably worn and could use replacing. My passenger side was shot at 52k.

Thanks guys. The more I read the more I see it might be a normal thing at a cold start up. It's weird I only notice sometimes. But when I do I start sweating a little. Lol. I guess it wouldn't hurt to let someone take a look at it.

when the car is cold, the ECU makes the engine misfire in a controlled manner to help the catalysts and the oil and such warm up faster to help reduce emissions (system is known as ULEV here). If you feel that the vibration is a bit excessive, have your motor mounts checked for damage. if they look fine, have them neutralized.

Searched huh? lol

Motor mounts should be priority; bulletins on the front motor mount for sure. Engine bay in TL gets too hot and kills the rubber .

Just an FYI-the engine doesn't misfire.

Project_CLean. I did search. But kind of limited to using my phone during work hours and it gets annoying to try and filter through everything on my phone.

But thanks guys for the info. I appreciate it a lot.
