Wassup guys, wondering if you can help me figure this out. My TL is suddenly acting weird. It first started with the remote didnt even work and i had to use my key to get into my car. But then the remote worked when i got home. This morning it worked but this time when i got into my car, my clock was way off and my radio needed the code. Not sure if any other settings were off.
Can anyone explain what it can be. Remote batterry? Car Battery? I actually changed my car battery a year ago so that should be good. Never changed the remote battery though but i have read that some Acura models would have an alert to change the battery. I could be wrong but that is what i read.

check for loose/corroded battery cable connections, especially the positive cable connection. also check fuse #7.

My guess is the battery clamp is loose or broken.

Battery on remote could explain the remote not working. It would not explain any of the other oddities you described.

 

Ok im getting frustrated now, ive tried everything from resetting the remote to disconnecting and cleaning the battery. Its weird, my remote 2 works fine and when used the inside panel says driver 2 detected or something like that, but my remote, remote 1, does not come up at all. All my settings are removed but the annoying part of that is i cant program all the doors to open with one push of the remote and at night i like my inside lights to be at max but everytime i turn on headlights i have to press max.

Does anyone else have ideas of what it can do. One last thing i havent done yet is change the battery in the remote. i will do that today or so. but i highly doubt that it is that.

 

Sounds like remote 1 is not setup properly. Read the manual on how to sync the remote so it will apply the driver profile. Are you wanting both remotes to behave the same? I know on mine I use remote 2 while the wife uses remote 1 and each of his have completely different settings.
