The electric door locks on my TL no longer work properly. When hitting the unlock button from the remote I hear the lock click, but it's as if they immediate lock after being unable to open.
Same issue if I'm in the car and push the unlock button manually (I hear a clicking, but the button/knob will not go up).
I have to manually pick up the button on the door to get out, and to get in I have to use the key.
Odd problem, but somewhat reminiscent of a problem I had in my 1992 accord years back.
Anyone else experience this? Dealer said it's covered under warranty, but the problem with my accord kept reoccuring and ended up being extremely costly in the long run. I'd feel better hearing from others with similar experiences and knowing that it is correctable.

 

and here i thought i was the only person who has experienced this so far...

i have an '04 TL and had the exact same problem a few months back...i couldn't lock my car with the keyfob or by pushing the lock button in the car...i had to use my key in the door to lock it...i could unlock it though, no problem...

i took it to the dealer 3 times before the problem was fixed! ...they tried replacing the switch that locks/unlocks the car...worked once, then the problem started again...they cleaned out stuff, but it still didn't work...finally they replaced my ECU for the electrical system in the car...everything has worked perfectly since then (knock on wood)...

also, while replacing my ECU, it also fixed a problem i didn't know i was having...my memory settings weren't being stored and the new ECU fixed this problem as well...

I'm bringing it in on Monday (they're actually open on Presidents day and offered me a loaner) and will suggest replacing the ECU.

I also need to have the sagging headliner below the third "brake" light tightened up as well.

I can't lock mine. It worked up until a few days ago. I don't have any warrantly left on my 04 so I have to figure it out myself. I have to push down each door lock individually.

 

Just seeing if you found a fix. I've got the same problem on my 04... but mine are so intermittent...
