'06 TL drifts to the left at highway speed
Had the TL aligned the other week and the toe was off front and back and was adjusted. Caster was normal. On roads other than highway and under 55 the car drives fine and does not want to drift no matter what lane. On the highway in the left lane I have to keep the steering wheel off center to the right to keep it from heading into the retaining wall when in the left lane. Took it back to the alignmement place and he said this is a tire issue and not an alignment issue. He said Toe, if it is out will not cause a drift and if caster was out it would but my caster was fine.
Called local Acura dealer. Tires not covered under warranty (I have 12k miles on it). Said he could road force balance with the Hunter machine they have and get them set up to hopefully eliminate the drift at a cost of $90 to me. One, I don't think I should have to pay anything to get my TL to track straight in the left hand lane on the highway and two, there is no guarantee that the $90 I would spend would solve the drift. Any suggestions. Before you say it, there is only 1 Acura dealer in my town and another one wouldn't be found for about 90 miles or so. Thanks

balance won't affect the drift.
It could be the tires causing the pull. Try swapping the front left with the front right and see if the drift changes. The tires should be warranted through the tire manufacturer.

I've found that the road crown produces much more noticeable drift at higher speeds.
Did you already check tire pressures? under inflated tires on one side of the car could cause a drift as well.
The other thing is alignment shops often put in road crown correction on the alignment. That's assuming you're driving on the right side of the crown. Now in the left lane on the highway you'll often be on the other side of the crown. On city streets in the left lane, you're normally on top of the crown at worst.

My car does the exact same thing, i have had the alignment done, tires replaced all 4 and still not change. I went back to dealer and asked to drive a new TL (07) and it did the same thing, drove a new tsx did the same thing. The only car that did not do this was an RL. Acura'a are super sensitive to the crown in the felt hand lane.

Same here. I'm noticing a drift to the right. Will pursue with dealer.

Now I have to back off. Took it for a test drive today and didn't notice the drift at all. Went through vrs. driving terrains and speeds, freeway, highway, neighborhoods, etc. I must be imagining it, or it's something that crops up under certain driving conditions.
