06 TL Automatic Transmission Problem

I have an 06 Tl with approx. 31000 miles on it, I just took it into the dealer and to get an oil change and general look at, with one thing to take a look at is the car has been throwing it self into gear. They come back and tell me that my fluid level was at about 50% and that they filled it up. They also called warranty to see what to do and warranty told them to just fill it up and have me drive it around to see if that fixes the problem, and if not they will replace it. Has anyone else had this problem and if so what did you do. Also isnt the transmission sealed? What should i do?

This kinda sounds like what I may be experiencing in my 05 TL AT. Especially when I first start driving, the transmission shifts real hard. I called the dealer, and the rep first try to tell me that it was a 'sports' sedan and should shift hard. I have an appointment to have the car serviced next Tuesday and hope to know more then.

Well, if the car has dirty or little fluid that will cause the trans to shift a harsher or even ruin the trans, but they shouldnt just kick your car out after that, the dealer themselves should test drive it and see if it drives normal after adding fluid. If not after that they should check for DTC's and if not they should order a trans if it shifts bad enough, they should do this no questions asked. I am just wondering if you had an appointment to have the trans checked out, if not this is probably why they pushed your car out like that. The dealer also doesnt have to call the warranty department, if they are having problems that they cant figure out and cant troubleshoot the problem they call Techline, which will tell them what to do, about the trans and if there are ways to fix it or to just order a new transmission.
