05 TL Pulls to left

My certified Tl with 10K pulls to the left. The dealer I bought it from has done 2 alignments on it. Now the GM says " this is how the TLs drive" . It is dangerous to drive with this pull to the left. It is soooo obvious to see when you drive it. Dealer is in denial phase. Anyone out ther know if this is true for TLs or is this GM full of **it! Please help me.

Your dealer is full of shit.

Sounds like the previous owner hit something resulting in a bent tie rod and/or control arm. Sorry.

Did the technician and GM both confirm it pulls to the left? Did you all drive in another TL as a comparison? Have you tried another dealer?

To answer your question, it is not normal for any passenger car to pull to the left to my knowledge. They would pull more towards the right if anything, due to the design of American roads.

There are various portions of the frame that may be checked to be certain that everything is correct. Actually the FSM has the dimensions, but a quick way, measure the distance between the center of the front and rear wheel on one side, then compare it to the other side to see if the left wheel is back slightly. Tough to do when the tires are installed, but you may be able to get an idea if there might be a problem.

this is just an idea, but take it to an independent and get it assessed. maybe offer to pay them a small fee/cash bribe just to check it out and give u an opinion or estimate on it that u can slap in the dealers face.

on a perfectly flat road, the car should not pull either way in an obvious way although it may have some very very slight pull to one direction. on a slanted road (which most roads are) you would need to pull the steering wheel to the opposite direction of the slant just to keep the car going in a straight line which is normal.

It's a good bet that the car was involved in an accident (which would explain why someone turned it in with such low mileage.)
