05 tl overheating

So my tl began over heating about 5 days ago, I had originally though this was due to lack of pressure from my overflow tank cap being busted. So I ordered a new tan and replaced that, the same day I got the error code for my thermostat going out, i bought a thermostat 2 days later and replaced that. Then as I'm driving to thanksgiving dinner i notice it seems that my engine bay is on fire due to thick clouds of steam. I pulled over let the steam fade and checked for any leaky hoses. None were visible but I couldnt do a thorough search because I got picked up right away for dinner. The following morning I drove my car back to my house because I only lived 3 minutes up the road, I didnt notice any steam again but I did t leave the car on to find out lol. After some researching I looked at my heater control valve and sure enough it was busted, so i replaced that today and let my car sit for about 30 minutes in idle and had no problems. Turned it off and just now about an hour later when as I'm driving for about 2 minutes I notice the temp gauge rising like crazy so I pulled over and now I'm fighting this. Someone help please this is getting annoying.

New thermostat already done, make sure you are topped off with coolant, not water. Replace radiator cap, check your heater hoses for leaks. Make sure radiator is in great shape.

with the heat on full blast, fill the radiator and burp the cooling system so you won't have any issues. Youtube has tons of videos on this! if you don't burp the system, you'll have pockets of air in the cooling system that can cause issues.
