Angry '05 TL hid??

I know there are a lot if posts and I have searched but found nothing on my particular experience. 05 tl and my right side low headlight stopped working. So I replaced the bulb and got it all together and it came right on. I later drove the car and turned the headlights on and it didn't come on. I turned them off and on several times and it finally came on. If it comes on it seems to stay on but it only works maybe 1 out of every 10 or so time I cycle them on. Ballast problem?

What is others experience with this and what is the best fix?

Sounds like a bad ballast.

Try switching the bulbs and that'll help narrow it down a bit to the ballast and not the bulb.

I had this same problem with the oem bulb so that's why I replaced it and still have the same problem. I still need to swap bulbs just to see?

Well if anything that'll assure you didn't get a dud of a new bulb, but it does sound like a ballast issue.

Check your fuses before anything.. I spent 200$ on ballasts and ended up being the under the hood fuse..

Same happen to me, Check your ignitor 9/10 thats the part at fault. the ignitor is the harness between the light and harness. The hid requires a lot of starting voltage to "ignite"the light. Thats why it starts after serval attempts if it were the ballast 9/10 it wouldn't start at all.

swap the ignitor if the problem moves to the other side you have your problem.
