So the other night I couldn't get into my car.
The doors wouldn't unlock with key fob. They would try to go up a little bit but quickly go down. My key slot was also frozen so I de-iced it and was able to get into the car manually with the key. The drivers lock still wouldn't go up and the car would lock on its own. I drove home parked car in garage and had to exit out passenger side as my driver door would not open. I tried pulling the lock up but wouldn't work. Then today I try to get in and again only can get in from passenger side and the car automatically locked all the locks and put alarm on ? Wtf. Finally after driving for a bit the driver door now locks and unlocks. It is making some weird noise like " dry whining " .

Anyways problem is ok now, but I don't want to have to go through this again. Temp outside is about -20 ( it's a crappy Canadian winter ) .

Could this be driver door actuator ?

sounds like a d/s door lock actuato... i would start with the drivers door lock actuator first and then check the rest of them because i have seen multiple one go out at the same time
