Angry '05 ACURA TL STALLED WHILE ACCELERATING THROUGH TURN-started massive clicking noise.

was trying to finish a turn through an intersection when my 05 TL wouldn't allow me to accelerate and stalled. there was massive clicking and it wouldnt let me switch gears. i got it into neutral and pulled it off to the side of the road.
Started it up again, but the clicking and banging inside the engine kept going so i shut it down again.

Electrically everything stayed on, and it restarted fine, but the clicking still remains and unable to switch gears to drive.

What do you think this could be?
Taking to mechanic but wanted to see if anyone had this happen to them before.

Recently had transmission flush at 133k miles. i was told about a week later from someone that i shouldn't do a flush if it went too far past 100k.
If anyone has any other advice let me know.

its off to the mechanic today.

i flushed mine at 163k seems good so far, but is it knocking sound? if im understanding correctly it sounds like you may of busted the motor.. . hope not. more details on noise would help. and check your oil, is it low?

could it be axles?????
I dont think the motor busted.

but if the axles go; you wouldnt be able to drive and you'd get clicking.
thats as far as I have with the limited amount of info

Sounds like tranny too...you said car will start just not move. If you flushed all the fluid at one time then that could be the issue, 3x3 is recommended for changing tranny fluid.

check your axles before jumping to any conclusions.

when you say unable to switch gears what does that mean? Could you elaborate: is the shifter lever stuck inside the cabin or does it move to "D" but not go anywhere?

Sounds more like an axle. Does your speedo jump up when you take it out of park?

About flushing the transmission, if your depending on fluid to keep your transmission from falling apart, your gonna need a trans anyways. I recommend changing the fluid every 15k, or even every other oil change. It's not that expensive or hard to do. And it's peace of mind to know that fluid is clean.

Any pics? Was it the inner or outer CV joint that busted? Which side (driver/passenger)?
