'04TLl transmission issue...Please help -ASAP-

Yesterday when I backed out of my driveway I noticed it took longer than normal to go into gear, then while driving I went to pass someone and the gear wasn't there. The car downshifted to the next one below. Pulled over checked fluid, and it was fine, still red, not burnt and full. drove back off and everything was fine until the next light. Took off again and there was no overdrive.Had the car plugged in and got the P0741 and P0700 . When I went to pull out of the lot,No forward or reverse worked.Shut it off for 10 seconds and started it back up.The car moved but while slipping.Got it home and now that its cooled down it goes right into gear.Less than a year ago I got the p0741 and the old trans went.So I put this used one in with 101k miles.Pretty safe to say this trans is gone? or could this be electronic..The car has 227k on it

Chances are it's done. You've got torque converter clutch codes. You can try for the hell of it it replace that solenoid and transfer it over to the new trans if it doesn't fix it. Chances are line pressure has fallen plus there is excessive clutch wear. The only hope would be Redline Racing fluid since it's thicker and can bring up line pressure and it has no FM to help the clutches grab. It would be a good idea to change the filter as well.

None of this is likely to help and if it does, it's going to be temporary. The most likely scenario is the screen inside the transmission is plugging off and the debris is falling back into the sump when it's shut down.

What's the maintenance been like? Pressure switches replaced? Good fluid?

New fluid.4 pressure switches and filter when I swapped it out in July. I can drive the car about 2 miles before it starts slipping. I just went to buy another used one with 1yr warranty then I'm trading it in . I drive a lot everyday for work so I really can't try little temp fixes. I'll just swap it. Thanks

I wish I had better news, that sucks. I wouldn't waste money on the little fixes either.
