'04 TL Weird Noise

I was hopping for a little insight on what might be making this noise not my video but found it through another post on here thanks to revolutn for the link. Only happens on cold start and its really loud but the noise decreases after about 30-45 mins of driving also gets even louder when turning. Any help would be great thanks

Same sound as if power steering fluid is low, but I bet its not low. Power steering pump is sucking in air. Remove the 10mm bolt at the plastic power steering pump inlet. Check the oring. Do you have a black oring or the updated orange one? If oring is already an orange one then change the inlet rubber hose that goes from reservoir to pump. Hope that helps.

Top one is now orange, other one is black. Replace the top one and see what happens.

Your car should have had the power steering safety recall done and the dealer should have replaced the top o-ring with the new design of o-ring (orange=new, black=old). If you already had the safety recall done and you pull the top ring and it's not orange, I'd bitch at the dealer so they know that you know they are cutting corners.

If you haven't had the power steering safety recall done, then get it done ASAP. It's a serious fire hazard that you don't want to take chances on. You can call any Acura dealer, give them your VIN, and they can tell you if the safety recall has been done.

Re: your second issue. Can you re-phrase? I don't quite understand what is not working. And your FB video: no worky for me.

The outlet o-ring is always gonna be black. It's the o-ring that goes to metal hose. The inlet o-ring is the one we are concerned with because this area sucks in fluid from reservoir therefore a black non updated o-ring will cause air to be sucked in causing that niose.

Check to see if you have bubbles in your power steering fluid reservoir. If you do, it's most likely the o-rings (replace those they're about 2 bucks). If you still have bubbles then your pump needs a rebuild

Yes both recall's has been done to the car so i should be good on the safety issues. It probably is the o ring because i do see bubble when the car is turned on, i tried replacing it the other day but the bolts wouldn't budge didn't want to damage it more than i already have. Will probably take it to a shop tomorrow and see if they can replace it for me. shouldn't be too much right? I mean all they have to do is take off some bolts... Already bought the part from the dealer aswell so they would just need to swap them

2nd problem:

Alright so my Horn, Cruise, and lights (on the steering wheel) stopped working. The cruise light comes on (gauge) when i press it but it wont set at any speed tried it 35Mph+. Also the weird thing is every other button works (Volume, Call, etc)

This all happened after i got my rack replaced came back to the shop and told them about the problem and they told me that they never touched any electrical... I wasnt really too concerned when i found out that cruise and lights were out but was more concerned when i figured out horn doesn't work (almost a month after) almost got in a accident too

Ill make another video in the morning and post it on here

O-Ring
Just to clear this up the Black O ring goes on the top hose (with two bolts) and the Orange goes on the hose (one Bolt)

The cruise control button is known to go bad as well as the light bulbs. There are multiple DIYs to replace both.

If your horn doesn't work, it might be a fuse or you may have a bad clock spring If it's a bad clock spring, that could be the cause of all those issues). The fuse is in the under hood fuse box.
