04 TL Warranty items questions...help?

Hi all and thanks. Just purchased my 04 TL from my best friend. Has 49,500 miles on it so I need to get any warranty work done ASAP. Here is what I have noticed so far. Any additional items I should be aware of?

- Radio seems to have a constant 'buzz' in it. Hate it.
- Passenger visor/mirror vibrates causing a noise that is driving my wife crazy.
- Have read there can be water leaks in the rear seats?

Anything else I should know? Thanks and please respond ASAP.

On the passenger visor/mirror-- make sure the visor is snapped into the windshield header bracket. Otherwise, it will make an annoying noise that resembles a rattle when it vibrates against the windshield bracket. This "rattle" worried me for a day and a half before I pulled on the visor and found it was clicking against the bracket. Another way to check the visor-- pivot it out of the bracket towards the side window and see if you still get noise from it.

The radio buzz should not exist- was anything new/non-stock wired into the car (different amp, alarm, different speakers, etc.)?

I haven't heard of water ending up anywhere in the car, let alone the rear seats, absent bonehead move/driver error (I admittedly did wet my rear set once while rinsing the car when the rear passenger window was cracked open).

Welcome, and hope your TL issues are easily resolved!

Here is one thread covering this. Probably others as well.

I just had my entire rear seat bottom section replaced. New seat belts, new leather, carpets washed and dried. I had salt wicking up the seatbelts too.

I was pissed.

Motorcars Acura in Bedford, OH said, "The problem was the drainage holes in the bottom of the car." They stated, "It was a factory design flaw, where the drainage holes were too wide and actually let splashing water come back into the cabin instead of just expelling water. Thus allowing salt and everything into the rear cabin."

They sub'ed the work out to a local company to fill in the grommets, then installed new cover and seatbelts.

We shall see if the problem is fixed, Winter has 2 months to go here. YAY salt!

P.S. If you need further info, you can PM me. There was another member that had the same problem (ludachrisvt) He posted it and ALERTED me to my own problem. My dealer was aware of the issue. I had no hesitations from the service advisor when I told him my problems.
