I have an 04 TL and noticed a problem with my passenger door recently.

When I use my key fob to unlock/lock my doors, my passenger side door does neither though my other doors lock/unlock. If I try hitting the power lock/unlock button on the passenger side door itself, it also does not work yet all the other doors work. The only way to lock/unlock is to manually pull the door switch up or push it down. I'm not quite sure what is wrong with it.

Any help? I read somewhere it may be an actuator or something in the door but I'm not sure.

replace the door lock actuator. problem solved.

 

Do you happen to have any instructions or images on how to do so? Never removed the door panel before so dont want to break anything.

I have to replace my front passenger door actuator. Ordered today from rockauto.

This job isn't too hard, just take care to not break the clips. The window chanel must be removed to access the actuator, and remember to re-attach both clips on the inner door release cable, or the door will not open from the inside afterwards.
