'04 'TL foglight/DRL issue

whats up acurazine!

been having issue with my 04 TL foglight/drl it went out on me about a week ago.. both lights at the same time (which is odd, not the average burnt bulb situation i started 2 assume). after checking fuses they were GOOD, checked the bulb itself as well and they too were GOOD. hmmmm??

now my question is what in the world could it be if its not the fuse or bulb itself?
seems odd to me as nothing logically can be made of this from my perspective, hoping someone on here as dealt with this issue and has resolved it before and could enlight me in this ordeal.
any help in isolating or correct the issues would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!
Jimmy

1) Fog lamp relay.
2) Damaged BLU/YEL or BLU/RED wire.

Good luck!

thank you kindly for the diagram Vlad! now I have a starting point to go about

the image definately help me locate the wires but i do want to confirm before advancing any further is it the wires located under / near the engine fuse box as I see BLU/RED and BLU/YEL-
also, if the wires are good upon inspection could there be a possibility the Control Block has gone bad and need to be replaced? or they shouldn't need to be replace throughout the time of ownership?

appreciate any help once again
Jimmy

Did you check the relay yet? I think this is the most likely cause. Yes, those wires come out of the under-hood fuse/relay box. Yes it could be a faulty control module, and yes this shouldn't need to be replaced during the life of the vehicle, but stuff happens.

It could also be the BLU/BLK wire.
