- A regular Honda clutch is in fact a LuK clutch which includes a self adjusting pressure plate.
- I just bought the SAC tool kit off of Amazon for $129.99.
- There are videos on YouTube on how to adjust the pressure plate, it looks pretty easy.
- I'll be doing mine in the next week or so.
- I'm also taking this opportunity to swap out the slave cylinder for one from which I've removed the delay valve.
One additional comment; I am considering coming up with some sort of a model where I can rent out my SAC tool to Acurazine members. I have no idea whether anybody would be interested, but just putting it out there.
Get a factory service manually if you don't have one already, I was able to replace my clutch no problem using that. Unless you are replacing your Dual Mass Flywheel, rigid clutch disc and self adjusting pressure plate with a single mass flywheel, sprung clutch dis and non - self adjusting pressure plate you will need to stick to the OEM parts, not a regular Honda clutch or sprung clutch disc. With the self adjusting pressure plate you have no packaging space for a sprung clutch disc.
Don't forget to replace your flywheel bolts, and rear main seal while you are in there.
The Clutch master cylinder also has a "delay valve" in it, the triangle shaped diaphragm on the end of the CMC is a delay valve. It's a common replacement item on TSX and RSX since they use the same CMC.
