04' TL 02 Sensor bank one sensor one

I started getting an engine light on the instrument cluster, so I went to an Oreilly's and plugged the car in.

The display read that it was bank one sensor one, and it basically said it had no output (if I remember correctly).

Maybe I should have troubleshot further, but I ended up replacing it, and obviously, that didn't fix the issue.

I am really not sure where to go from here, other than checking the wiring. Does anyone have any suggestions? Does anyone have any links to a wiring diagram, and any idea where I should start?

FYI- it's a 2004 with 160K (I drive a LOT). I have smelled a couple time, after driving for a couple hours, something that smelled like scorched plastic, but it's not regular, and I haven't been able to isolated it.

Any suggestions will be GREATLY appreciated.

Its been happening for about 1k miles since replacement. And, today, I disconnected the neutral terminal on my battery for about 20 minutes, and it came back on after about 20 miles.

what was your code. also are you positive that you replaced the correct sensor. If i'm not mistaken, bank one is the side to the rear, not the front.
