'04 Base somethings messed up

Not really sure what this is but I have a short video of my idle and light reving. You can hear it seems to have wobble? cant tell if its the timing (done 45k ago) or a bad pulley or some sort of bearing?

any input would be greatly appreciated.

You can remove the serpentine belt and start the car to see if noise ceases. If so, check the pulleys, along with the crank pulley as they have had a history of separating and scraping when turning.

The belt is super easy to remove and re install. It will take no more than 30 seconds to remove it, that's counting walking over to the work bench to get the correct socket. Don't give up so easy. Here is a photo of how to do it, just do it in reverse to put it back on.

Are you able to shine a light onto the crank pulley to see if its wobbling?
You might be better off looking through the passenger tire wheel well to get a better view of it.

No CEL or VSS lights on or OIL. nothing like that on the dash. Fuel mileage has gone down. I find it drives a bit strange.. tends to hold 2nd to 3rd shift at 2500rpm for a split second before it shifts then when it goes to 3rd it drops to 1500 but slightly raises maybe 1700 then down to 1500 and from 3rd gear all the way up to 100km/h it feels a bit sluggish but the noise goes away from what i can tell inside the vehicle.

About two months ago I did seafoam treatment on the car. 1/3 vacuumed, 2/3 fuel cell on a very empty tank (range 11km). Ran amazing till about 2 weeks ago.

Gonna try and take off the serp belt tmr and hopefully I will be able to determine if its any of the pulleys. When I take off the belt, will my CEL or anything else supposed to go on when I turn the engine on for the first time? And Will i need to reset anything once I put it back on ? I dont have an OBD II reader or anything.

*ADDED*

Does the tensioner bolt have to be torqued to a specific amount?

No cell will light and when the belt is reinstalled the spring in the tensioner will create the specific tension when released.

brutal man.... Great thread look up Turbo. I hope the noise goes away for you when you take that belt off too. If I were a betting man....and I am... I'd bet all the money in my wallet the crank pulley is your issue.

Then you are a poor man right now cause it turned out to be the tensioner pulley and water pump. Water pump i noticed today that it had glazed my whole serp belt. my conclusion to that it happened recently cause it wasnt like that a couple days ago.

Now that being said I checked my timing belt while i was at it just took off the covers and they seem fine to me no wear or tearing that i noticed.

My buddy stopped by with a stethoscope after work and he took a listen to the engine with the serp belt on and off and we both agreed its the tensioner.

My guess is that the previous owner cheaped out and bought some chinese bullshit parts that shouldnt be on it(45k & WP and Tensioner Pulley dead?).

Being scared that my car might die on me I took the liberty upon myself to purchase all new Honda parts off ebay. came out to 430 bux with shipping but I think it will be worth it.

I shouldve taken some pics but in the heat of the moment being all pissed off that this is happenin 7 months into owning a car Ive always wanted just made me so mad.. Hondas are supposed to be reliable and Ill still stick by that its just when people cheap out and put crappy parts on it that make them shitty in the eyes of gullable fools like myself.

Little confused-The water pump runs off the timing belt not serpentine belt??

this is true. i am just adding to the list of problems as i noticed it when i was going in for a deeper look and diagnosis. I also noticed that my reservoir for the rad was near empty so i just put two and two together. I didnt see any leaks on my driveway or garage so earlier this evening I raised my car up to take a look and noticed a lot of rad fluid on the subframe and control arm too so thats only verified more that the pump and gasket has to be changed.

water pump doesn't run off the serp belt. It runs off the timing belt.
I'm confused on what you spent 430 bucks on?

Timing Belt, Idler Roller / Pulley, Tensioner Roller / Pulley, Water Pump & Gasket, Hydraulic Tensioner, Front Camshaft Seals x 2, Front Crankshaft Seal, Serpentine Drive Belt.

My reasoning is that the water pump, pulleys all shouldnt have failed already and it did. which leads me to believe the previous owner used shit parts so im replacing all of it to have the piece of mind.
