So I have a 04 Acura TL with Nav. Recently, my heater core went out and leaked coolant all inside of my car and over my computer. I had a mechanic fix the heater core which required him to take apart the entire dash. He fixed the heater core and went to start my car and my car now turns over, but does not start. The green key symbol on the dash continuously flashes. The key is in perfect working order, I checked it at a locksmith (chip and all). I have never had a problem like this before. I'm sure it had to do with having my radio/nav out of the car for over a week. I left the key in the "On" position for about an hour to see if the computer would read the key but nothing. The key symbol does not stop flashing it is constant. Does anyone have any ideas? Any ideas are helpful. I have a Honda dealer around me but no Acura. I am also new to this site, so hello!

if the key flashes on the dash it means its an immobilizer problem.

How do I fix this? I'm so sick of driving around a 132 HP Corolla!!

try having the key programmed again

Sounds like your "mechanic" forgot to reconnect a connector to one of the immobilizer receiver or immobilizer control unit.

read it up on your cars manuel book ,, same key thing happenend to me i went to the dealer got a new one and bamm it worked

it can be your key , if your immoblizer system dont recognize your key it will not turn on
