02 Sensor

Hey everyone. So my car was throwing a P0134 which is the bank 1 sensor 1 o2 sensor. I then replaced it with a new one. The light was still on so I had it reset. Now the light just came back on again. Haven't read this code but almost positive its going to be the same again.

Any ideas? Think it's a defective o2 sensor? Anyone have a similar problem before? Any input would be greatly appreciated.

I've had this issue on other cars before. Just as i replaced one sensor, another one goes out. Check the code again just to make sure it's the same one

pull the code and see if it's the same P0134. That code indicates the heater system in the o2 sensor isn't working. on cold starts, the o2 sensor will heat itself up to get to temp quicker so it can start doing its job quicker. if the heater isn't working, maybe the connector isn't seated right or there's a problem with the o2 sensor harness being cut or melted. make sure the harness looks ok and it's not resting on the cat or other hot surfaces. otherwise, you might have a bad sensor.
