Has anyone found a fix to this.. Im getting static thru the radio.. But normally happens with the rear defroster on.. But now its doing on a regular basis.. Any suggestions on fixes.. Any bolts i can tighten...

 

Well it's built into the rear glass so maybe pop off the rear pillar covers and see if any of the connectors are loose. It's on the driver's side if I remember correctly.

 

They may be a problem with the defrost grid and or rear glass. Was this by any chance a problem after a window tint installation?

 

Nope I had the window tinted last November, and the issue just started happening recently like i would say three weeks ago.. gets really hot over here in Ga... but i know that shouldnt impact the radio reception

 

any idea what was the cause of this static. I have an 06 with static on FM stations only when rear defroster is on.....no tints on car.

 

I hadn't had to run the rear defroster since I bought my '04 TL until just last week, and guess what I noticed? Yep, radio static on the FM station I was listening to when the defroster was turned on. Add me to the list of people with this issue.
