You guys should have never told me about plastidip-LOL
Decided to completely change the look of the car, don't know if you guys will all like it but I am pretty happy with it. Since its plastidip it will come off easily also(already tested it), so here it is. Already got the body shop guy who is going to do the pinstripe removal in two weeks for a 6pack of beer. So yeah plastidip is awesome and the TL is coming along slowly but I like what I am seeing so far.
Crappy Iphone 4 pics, some HDR so I know the quality sucks.... Oh and the HDR duplicates them so thats why there are two.

Nope just masked off and did the grill, it was unbelievably easy. I had forgotten a small spot and it got plastidip on it so i just peeled it right off. I put something behind the grill so I wouldn't get any spray behind the grill and i just cleaned it, used prep-all and then got to work. Doing the front area and back trim peice/emblem took about two hours because i took my time and it was my first time taking those parts off the car.

It looks good, but I would have left the front A chrome for some contrast. Now all you have to do is black the headlights out properly, drop it, and you're golden!! Oh and then get smoked tails from Acktl05 or JNC... Not really feelin the film on the rears...

Well I am looking to have my rims done in Bronze so if I do that then I will probably match the Acura Symbols, thats the only reason they weren't left chrome. And yes proper Headlight/Tail setup will come in the future as well as a drop. I think next thing is rims though and tint. I think I am gonna do the rims next weekend. Expect ALOT of pics lol.

No offense....
your car looks cheap as it sits right now.
im ok with plasti dip on the grille but whyd you do the emblem? the front end of your car looks so washed out
the tint on the tail light and sidemarkers needs to be ripped off right now
in order to pull off that plasti dipped grille you need tinted windows or an aspec kit right now the car looks all stock with just a different grille

No offense taken, I think it looks better in person but yeah the emblems will be re-done to match the rims next week so it will give it a little more character. Tint will be done next month too so that should help, and I know tinted tails/sidemarkers isn't the most popular thing but I like the change for now. Once other bigger components are done I can always change those out for cheap so i'm not too worried. Thanks for the input though thats what im looking for whether positive or constructive : )

lol
As long as Im happy with it thats all I can ask for, I am not gonna put a ton of money into it so I can't expect it to look like some of the TLs you guys have(some of them are sooooooooo sexy). Just gotta work with what I can do and try to be tasteful/risky at the same time. Rims will be done next week, then you guys let me know hopefully it will give it the contrast I was envisioning when I started doing all this nonsense lol.

pissing your girl off on purpose...hmm...that'll dissipate with age. Why make YOUR life more difficult. Plus, if she says it sucks, she'll end up being right about it. I rarely veto my girl...and I'm over 4 years with her now.
I'm in Pines, and work in Sunrise.
AND, I can't hate on the blue and black theme...but it CAN be overly done. She's the one that stopped me from doing my calipers and some other hairbrained ideas I had to make it match the blue more. And honestly...thank goodness she did.

Yeah I've been married for 4 years and Im pretty easygoing BUT i gotta be a stubborn bastard once in a while to let her know whats up lol. And I am seriously considering different color options now....but I think blue/bronze rims will work the best. And I will be in Coral Springs/Broward next week for a few days if you South Florida guys got a meet or anything going down let me know. The car scene is pretty dead up here in Port Saint Lucie except for a few nice cars and alot of ricey civics and such. I get cars with bumpers falling off and kids in the backseat trying to race me all the time, its sad.
White....idk remember I am doing the stock rims so it will be ALOT of white, if they were like 8-10 spoke rims I think I could pull it off. And I think the car does need a contrast with the rims since everything else is so damn dark now lol.
White ?
Bronze?
Gunmetal?
Other Idea?

For you new guys (Barzz & Teezzey), in the lower right hand corner of each thread, the middle icon is a multi-quote button. This allows you to respond to multiple people in a single post.
For you guys that have been here for a while (mrlal), you should already know about this function.

Another idea I've had but haven't put into play after having played with it on my engine covers...
IS:
Plastidip the wheels FIRST, THEN put color and clear on em. That way, you can have your color and then peel it off when your girl finally tells you that she ain't blowing you until you lose the bronze wheels .
But yeah, I get you...treat em rough, you get your muff as the great Ali G once said.

Now I am completely torn on what to do about the wheels....The idea to plastidip them then paint I think is smart because
1.Maybe the plastidip wheels look sick
2.Paint should adhere easily to plastidip
3.Can always peel off plastidip and go back to stock If I get aftermarket wheels or if I stop getting blowjobs(like rockstar said lol)
I think I will plastidip them tomorrow and I will post up pics for you guys to let me know what you think, I sense a poll coming on what color to paint them after...lol
And should I do a DIY on running an amp since I am doing it tomorrow too? Or has that been done enough? Just trying to help out since im the newbie.

Well, let us know how the plastidip works out!
What I will recommend about my idea is that if you ARE going to try and do the plastidip AND then some bronze on it...do it immediately. Because if you plastidip and then ride around for a bit, you have a lot of other contaminants on that surface like tire shine and brake dust and the bronze won't stick. I don't think you can prep the plastidip surface for paint like you would a metal surface.
About the blowjobs...trust me, there's a fine line between showing her who's boss and being an asshole and having to jerk off for a month.
