Looks good. I just vinyl wrapped my grill but with glossy black vinyl. I only did the faded grey piece but took me a couple of hours as well. All those damn contours and angles killed me! LOL

Hey man I wanna do this too, not quiet like yours but similar. Same material too. I was thinking of leaving the silver trim on the hood and grill, and just doing the middle bar and black plastic. How much of that stuff did you need.

I just got 20"x50" sheet that someone had left over. You think that would be enough?

I got it from the vendor AckTL05. Got a 4ft x 2ft sheet for $23 shipped. I've got a couple pics on my Iphone, just have to upload them. Once I do I'll post them to show you what it looks like because I think I'm one of the few that's done just that piece and left everything else alone.

The wife wanted to keep all the chrome, she thinks it looks classy. Her car, her way which is also the reason we go auto LOL. When I get mine I'll be taking a lot of different routes.

Quite well.

OP, you'll find that the indents that go through the middle of the center bar won't stay down. I battled this for a couple of months and finally just cut them out. Looks good too.

I experienced that on the curves underneath the center bar on mine. I just made relief cuts, kind of like splitting it so that the vinyl won't pull itslelf away front the part it wouldn't stick to. I hope that was clear lol

Relief cuts? As in you cut it halfway down in the center? Have a close-up picture?
I have a roll of cf non-glossy that has been sitting in my room for months before I even bought my car lol. I should get a move on this di-noc

Hey I am looking for some feed back from you guys and this thread got bumped up so didn't wanna make a new thread about it.

Here is what my grill looks like now. I painted it with plastic dip and left the hood trim and bumper trim silver. I was wondering what your opinion would be on wrapping the silver parts in CF vinyl and making the ACURA bumper inserts from the same vinyl.

Would it be too much going on in the front? Making the bumper and grill too dark? If I were to do this in CF vinyl I would also do trunk silver piece the same so it matches. Or should i just scrap his idea all together?

It's not rated for outdoor use. There are other versions of this rated for outdoor use, I believe Metro Restyling has one of the few that are rated for exterior applications.

OP - Good wrap job, but the 3-tone is a bit busy.

Look at you talkin about "busy" !

Anyway, I will use those links, if you recall. I have to find em...I am dying to give this a whirl. I will probably order some of that primer too to ensure it doesn't come off.
For the center bar, how do you guys start off? top, sides, middle out? Looks like the vinyl wouldn't want to make it's way around the center.

How did you guys do the grill and all the parts that curve with one piece of vinyl? Does the vinyl have some elasticity to it?
