Who doesn't like lights ?

So I recently got a test set of the gauges from USR and installed em using the DIY posted by Jeremy (Rockstar143) which can be found here:

https://acurazine.com/forums/3g-tl-audio-bluetooth-electronics-navigation-94/unique-style-racing-type-s-gauge-cluster-diy-3g-828723/

I took some pictures at night from my iphone (I am so long due for a nice Photoshoot)....

I have a 2005 and these gauges would resemble 07+ models and I like the extra blue in there

Here is how she looks at night:

Also, I finally broke down and got the switchbacks....I got the 60-60 from Autolumination....DAMN they are bright....I love that website...Excellent customer service....great products.....Here are some pix of the switchbacks....

I have 6000K front HID's, 6000K LED upper fogs, 8000K HID Lower fogs and the 60-60 SMT switchbacks....

Comments/Critics welcome

Thanks Flippy...It was a real simple install (both the gauges and the switchbacks)....The stock gauges are fine but after 150K miles staring at your gauges this makes you feel, you in a new car LOL....

Yes Sir...you gotta....I never liked switchbacks coz I like the amber contrast upfront....but then I thought let me give it a chance and this 60-60 SMT from Autolumination did it for me....kinda expensive but worth the money IMO

Thanks Parth....yeah they look good and I think USR is having a group by for like $45 a pop....not a bad price either....Best part, the install takes 30 minutes tops....I was thinking I gotta remove the steering and stuff but Jeremy (Rockstar143) posted an awesome DIY...

out of curiosity, when you signal...does that side you're signalling on turn amber and blink amber to amber until you are no longer blinking, or does it switch from white and to amber? Does that make sense...I think there are a few now called type 1's or 2's.?

Also, assuming you had to add resistor?

Another reason I went with autolumination is that every switchback has 2 options:

1> AW: Amber White...so White while running and when you indicate it switches from White to Amber to White to Amber....

2> AO: Amber OFF...so White while running and when you indicate it switches from White to Amber to OFF to Amber to OFF and when you stop the signal it goes to Amber....

I got the AW...I never had load resistors installed, loved the hyperblinking and had the indicators hyperflashing for a day but then got the load resistors (6OHM) and did it right

Great info buddy, I appreciate it. I will likely give the AO's a shot. I had originally done oem amber diffuser with vht nightshades on it so the white LED showed up as green when it was on! Plus, I did not like the switch to amber to white at all at the time (no offense). I will do the resistor and give it another whirl. Now that I have type S diffusers I'm sure it'll look great...probably lights up much brighter too, especially during the day!

Anil, I have had issues in the past with AutoLumination switchbacks. I went through a lot of them to find the ones that finally worked and didn't blow out. The ones I have now have been in my Type S for a long time. But when I hit the turn signals, the amber color comes on, but not very bright....

Steven, maybe they've gotten better over the years. At 60 bucks a pair, they BETTER be bright and reliable. Maybe I should just leave well enough alone?

I feel you man...The reason I didnt get switchbacks until now is coz I am not using diffuser + my indicator socket is blacked out + 50% of my headlight is painted...so there was practically very less light output....I had the 48SMT indicator which did pretty good....So when I ordered the 48SMT switchback, i thought it would be good enough....NO...the light output was very less....plus one of the LED switchback didnt work as it should....

I spoke with Tracy over there and she fixed it for me....I told her to send me this 60-60 replacement and it all worked out very well....I had to be patient but it did work out

yup $60 is expensive....i went with autolumination since they have AW....if your going for AO check vleds....they might be 5-10 bucks cheaper...
