I'm in the back also where no one parks and where I can keep an eye on it. I park in the last space and park over the outside line so if someone does park next to me they're still a decent distance away.

I purposely park in the way back of my schools' parking lot along with all of the jocks with Camaros and Mustang GTs. People laugh at me when I have to walk way to the back, but I am not risking it with stupid teenagers in big trucks...

During my previous employment, it appears that people seem to watch for dinging other peoples belongings
but at school I try to park anywhere I can or hug curb sides so I can avoid dings for certain from atleast once side and lessen the chance of the other... but OIFHEhf9023h I gained a few dings and a billion rock chips
I can deal with rockchips and environmental debris but dings caused by fuckbags who don't care about other peoples property can eat shit.

when she goes to work with me...garage parked-double parked in an end space (into a do not park space) in the corner OR the end space next to an audi S4....at the other office, towards the back either next to stored cars in the garage or next to an rsx-s.
when she stays home during inclement weather...in the garage. the MDX gets to go get dirty and play in the puddles, but parks in the same places as listed above.
territorial creature of habit...and i'm anal about where the hell i park.

going to work at 6am has a few benifits. I usually get my choice of spots. if I dont get this one (maybe 2-3 times a month I dont snag this spot), I take the very back spot in row Im standing in to snap pic. I share the lot with 2500+ people and theres a lot of inconsiderate assholes in that number. defensive parking is a must.
only issue with this particular spot is some asshat in a blue awd civic stationwagon parks here from time to time and leaves huge piles of mud all over the spot

Can't say I agree with parking over the line but as long as it's not taking up a spot i guess I can't complain much
I park about 100-150ft away from my job. Although most people are pretty considerate of each other's cars (I work for a [mainly] automobile electronics manufacturer) so I don't HAVE to park so far away, but at this point due to my paranoia it's become "my spot". I only move it closer to the building after 5:30 once most people have left.
The view when I get out:
The view about a 1/3 of the way to my building:

I park mine where ever I can at the train. I'm not gonna go crazy over it anymore because at the end of the day its gonna get messes with at some point and to boot it's just a car. If you feel the need to revolve around a car then you shouldn't buy a car that you're going to be like that with it. It's an Acura not a Ferrari or Lambo. I will say though when I do go to the supermarket I park far away at the empty end of the lot but not for the cars' sake but just to get in more walking.

Posts like this make me sad I think I speak for most of us here in saying that our lives (for the most part) don't revolve around our cars but we do what we can to take as much care of them as we can. They're replaceable but we got them for a reason, otherwise it'd be a ford pinto or geo metro.
I have my rallywagon that I beat down once a month and another civic we use for autox. the tl was a treat for the wife and i so we didnt have to drive the racecars to and from work anymore.
Some of our lives revolve around cars definatly, but I will gladly walk away from cars to ride my mt bike, and if theres more than 6-7" of fresh snowfall, even the job gets kicked to the curb till teh fresh lines are chewed up. We skip out on lots of racing in the summer to enjoy camping, biking, and all that fun stuff in the mountians.
the way i look at it though is like this. its a 20 minute drive up to our local ski resort, which is where a lot of our mt bike rides start too. so we get a badass twistyass road to enjoy on the way up, and a awesome singletrack 12 mile downhill through the forest on the way down. car stuff/bike stuff. half and half

I know it's just a car, but I like to keep things nice. My parking lot at work is pretty tight. Here is a shot from a coworker's office. It's one door down, I can see my car from the hall except when "big red" parks on me.
This ass-clown parks next to me like this every now and then. Who knows why. I hate trucks. You can see in the picture above that he has plenty of options and/or doesn't need to park on the line. Saving grace: one person in that huge ass truck, but it's a PITA for me to get in my car. He's gone when I leave.

Looking at Mug's photo, I'm like where the F is his car?? It was like playing Where's Waldo? LOL! Then I finally spotted the ass end of it, lol.
And I park my car right outside the door back door. I also get to work at 6am so I get the closest spot. I'm not worried about other cars though because the parking spots are pretty big here even if someone's door was to swing open it still wouldn't hit my car, assuming they parked in the middle of the white lines (which most are decent enough drivers that they do).

Think and say what you want but you bought the car for a reason because you like this car in particular and enjoy driving it. Not to keep it as a prized possession. Bottom line is most of the members lives here do revolve around their car. You can see it in their posts. Don't get me wrong modding is a different story but everyday activities are what I'm talking about. It's more of an OCD thing I guess. I'm coming to a point where hey if something happens to it I'll just get something better.
