What I've been up too (RL Calipers, Wheel Whore, Rebuilding Three Piece Rims)
Hey guys thought i update you on what I've been up too in the past 2 years. In the process i have gone through three different rim setup in the past 2 years deciding on what i wanted and in that process i decided to upgrade my brakes during that time and some extra goodies on the side.
Now on to the pics!!
this is the setup i missed the most and still to this day i regret trading them away. slogsr still has them thank god and ill be gladly buy them back when he decides to part them out. they are TE37 Mercury Silver 19x8.5/9.5 +22 all around
my next setup was a trade i did with slogsr. they are Work Varianza t1s
19x8.5 +12 and 19x9.5 +15
now with big rims and and skinny spokes i thought to myself i need a brake upgrade. I Sold the varianzas to a local craigslist guy and started my funds.
this is how it sat for awhile.
found a set of rl calipers off a local buy sell flea market for facebook for $50 bucks. friend of mines named buckjoe put his base tl back to stock and bought a type s and was kind enough to trade me these for my beat up old ones.
thank god for acurazine and i wouldnt have known they made brackets for the rl calipers
some ebc green pads for some stopping power
then for rotors i bought some stoptech slotted rotors
out with the old!!!
in with the new! as you can see im running extended studs. there is a reason for that coming up.
kinda blurry sorry but wanted to take a break and thought this was pretty neato!
this is the outcome! yea tire is flat (there was a nail in it)
now at that time Import Alliance 2013 ATL was near and still i havent found a set of rims i wanted. After countless searching and coming up empty handed I ended up grabbing my brothers set of rims. Racing Hart C2s three piece rims. Original specs were 19x8 +50. I currently dont have pics of the original but he bought it intending to rebuild them. we were fooled thinking it was in perfect condition cause the previous owner said it was but ended being curbed and rashed.
now bare with me as this is my 2nd time doing this. the first one was a set of bbs lms and all i did was reverse face mount them. this is completely different. countless hrs went into this setup and i dont ever think i would be able to part these away.
if you can see these rims are one of a kind especially if they were inspected by work! Me getting all the silicon off.
all gone!
new lips came in. 2.5 lips for the front and 3.5 for the back. making the specs 19x9.5/10.5. now after countless hours trying to figure the offset i came to a dead end and gave up lol so im not sure on the offset
here are the 10.5s
with racing hart c2s most ppl know they came out around 1999 and at that time big brake kits werent know in the scene except for like aem. since they wont clear the rl calipers i went ahead and order 15mm ichiba spacers
sent the faces to get polished and heres the outcome
bling bling!!
sealing them back up
what i saw at the time of doing this. never seen some many geese!
heres the outcome. im running 225/35 in the front and 235/35 in the rear
now i bought skunk2 camber kit cause of the scrubbing in the front. i thought it would solve the problem but it didnt. did some research and found out if i maxed it out at -3 im really only getting -1.5. gotta do the hellafush mod and im currently working on it now. reason why im not that low.
jacked up the front to see what the rears would look like and im currently liking what im seeing. gotta roll them a bit in order to go that low.
heres the final outcome. still got some tweaking to do. hope you guys like it. if you guys can see 4th pics before the last i added atlp base exhaust and what you cant see is xlr8 v2 jpipe.

Awesome thread. I saw your FS ad on wheelflip for your Varianzas. I like those the best out of all your setups. The Harts are definitely beautiful though. Moar pics!
