Wash for the weekend /Sell or not to sell.

Hey everyone this is my 2nd time posting pics of my TL so please go easy on me lol. Today i spent about 3 hours washing my 05 TL, a much needed wash, im debating to either sell it or not. I barely use it, since i got out of the Army and focusing on my school work. I mostly use my wife Explorer. I love my TL but idk if its time to move on and part ways or keep it and slowly build it into a beast like most of you all have your TL's. Thanks for the input.

Keep it.

First things first, either relocate the badges to the top of the trunk or take them off completely. Not a fan of them being down on the bottom of the trunk like that.

is your trunk closed all the way in the pics? the gapping on the driver's side in the pics is bad. add in the that the badges are not located in the correct place...has your car been rearended?

as far as keeping the car...that's up to you. if you still love the car and enjoy it...keep it. if you've lost interest, move on.

I noticed those things too^^^ I seriously hope that wasn't a body shops goof by putting the badges down there on accident. If that's the case, I swear some people are just absolutely clueless. I agree, those badges do not look right where they are. I'm also not a fan of debadging either, so I say out them back where they are supposed to go :-)

Im in this position as well. Between the wifey and I we have 4 vehicles.

I daily my 99 TL, and my 05 TL (letting this one go while it still has good value). When we go on vacation we always take her SUV (roomy) or her camry (36 mpg's). My 05 has been great but with our second child on the way the "hobby" will get pushed to the side.

My priorities are changing as my family continues to grow. We have everything we need and I can always pick up a Project vehicle later. Something I can have my son's do with me.

Do you only have two vehicles? If so, I would keep the TL because it will last you many years to come. I wouldn't modify it too much if your not driving it that much. That's what I did, and now im thinking about all the money/time I put into it just for it to sit at home.

Badges look dumb. None of that stupid "IMHO" bullshit, they look stupid. You've got some serious body panel gaps.

I would keep it, still regret selling mine. The car was a blast to drive compared to the MDX.

Whoa, now that I look closer at the pics on my desktop, that car must have been in a serious accident or something. Look at the paint on the drivers side rear quarter panel compared to the door just in front of it. That trunk is so misaligned that it almost looks like it isnt closed, then ofcourse the emblems all in the wrong spot. I wonder what all that cars been through?

Right now i have the 05 TL, and a 05 Explorers, both vehicles up to date on maintenance and No problems since i bought it, just some cosmetic stuff. I am thinking of trading for rsx or at least trading to upgrade to a newer model. But so far the car has been nothing but solid to me. Thats why i would hate to see it go.

Since i bought it i havent had a problem with it, i changed out the alternator and starter at 100K, i keep the vehicle up to date on maintenance and try to keep it clean. Because of the cosmetic stuff i managed to get a great deal on it. At first i was skeptical to buy a car with some cosmetic damage. We checked it for frame damage motor problems or anything that would comeback and hunt me in the future. But so far this car has been nothing but great to me and hasn't let me down. I think the guys that did this job did a horrible job on it and the previous owner was a chick so you can imagine what pain and suffering this TL has gone through. This is probably like a abandon dog that was mistreated and forgotten and along came me and rescued & adopted it from the lot jaja
Thanks for your input. Appreciate it.

Tough call RGS. If you really don't need the car and could use the money, go for it. It obviously helps if each of you have a vehicle though.....
