SVT Blue. Its a mustang color. I sprayed a red pearl coat under the clear. That gives it the "blurple" effect. You can see in the under hood shot where I didn't spray the pearl under the hood. Noticeable difference.

As for the power....with a 2,500lb weight it doesn't take much. My motor wasn't that potent. Mild cam, stock heads with a cleanup port job, and cast pistons. When I put the aluminum headed SBC in it, the front end, it lost weigh and I had to lower the front.

Exactly my point...1 pound for every 15 horses...that thing had to have been a beast.
love the color. I already told you, I wish you were local. I'd love to learn and/or pay you to paint stuff for me. I want a NBP paint matched fridge for my house.

I have NBP already mixed up for a local member.... and i have painted appliances before.

My paint looked like shat in that last pic....swirl city. I bufed it in the dark in preparation for that road trip. That pic was taken in Huntsville on my way to Reynolds, GA for a club meet. I fixed it when I got there.

Your wife gets the other 1500 square feet, why does she need ANY garage space?
Not fair.

Gorgeous, btw.

The only space SHE actually has is her freezer and a little shelf. The rest is shelves, detailing and buffing supplies, yard tools, kids bikes, and other various shit not directly related to major automotive work. I just call it her side because its where she parks MY car that she drives daily. I drive 1500 miles a week for work. She drives 100 a week. I like the odds of her driving the TL better. I am flabbergasted that I don't have any pics of it done...

"My" side is FULL of workbenches, toolboxes, an engine puller, engine stands, welders, a plasma cutter, paint materials, paint materials, shelves, paint materials, and other various sundries.

This is parked my my side when I don't have body work or motor work to do.

This is what it looked like when I bought it.

Lol. I don't drive the truck for work. I hardly drive it at all. It has 15X,XXX miles I believe. Bought it for $500. Fixed it up for $1000 including the pearl white paint. I'll keep it forever likely.

I have a port-a-power and a monkey on a stick. No puller for major damage though. I have a few buds that pull anything I need pulled on the cheap.

Thanks for the compliments.

You're welcome.
Good choice on Pearl White...
easy to see when dirty, which it will be when you go mudding anyway...and EASIER to see when it's clean too. Plus, since you're mudding in it, don't have to worry to much about how many swirls you'll be putting in the paint.

See...great minds think alike. how far off am I?

Funny story about that truck. It was one of my best friends back in HS. We beat the hell outa dat truck. Mudding every weekend. Jumping shit. Couldn't tear it up. He even wrecked it (as seen in pic). It still held water and the ac still worked after the wreck. He continued to drive it just like that for years. I saw him a few years ago at his brothers wedding and we were talking aboot old times. I asked what ever happened to the truck and he mentioned that it was in storage. I told him (as a joke) that I would give him $500 for it. Fast forward 3 months. He calls me and said if I had $500 I could have the truck....I was all over that. Been mine ever since. It hasn't seen mud since I bought it either.

You are correct on the color though. It doesn't look dirty till you start to wash it...

Great story behind the truck.

What does your friend say when he sees it now?

Looks are deceiving. It's actually a two story house. The roof pitch is different on the back. The guy that built it apparently cut corners by not putting dormers on the front of the house. That's a project for after the garage is completely wired and sheetrocked.

Bit of an update....

After totaling my daily driver celica.....

I had to get something to replace it. I found this...

2004 Non Navi Base 130,000 miles. Listed at $9,499.00. I talked them down to $7,500.00. Now I own two TL's.

It had a power steering problem and the trans had a torque converter shudder.

Started with a 3x3....Fluid was trashed!! Apparently it had never been done...

The air filter was trashed too!!

The trans fluid was so bad that I ended flushing 4 times. The shudder wasn't as bad after the flushes but the trans still wasn't right and had a few other little odd quirks. At the urging of a friend that has been building transmissions for over 45 years, I added this to the trans fluid....

It had immediate results. The car drives perfect now. If any of you have the dreaded shudder....get the stuff!!! It is awesome...

I'll do a few more flushes over time and add this once I am happy with the fluid color.

I also changed the filter.

I could easily breath through the new one....I couldn't blow any air through the old one.

Dem TL's

All cleaned up...

Coils, tint, wheels, and a few other tasteful mods coming!!

Now yall need to help me come up with a custom tag for the silver one. The anthracite car has WACKER....so WACKER2 maybe? Open to suggestions.
