What a bummer!
I was going through your thread admiring a really clean white 3G, I chuckled at your photo commentary, then I recognized your car from the custom tail light thread, then BAM! And this just happened today.
Good luck with the repairs man.

Yes, that is my rental Corolla in one of the pictures. One of the things that I realized after driving this car for the past several days was how stiff my S-Techs really are in comparison to the Corolla's suspension. I drive a lot of back roads, so I got a good comparison. No big deal, but just thought it was worth mentioning.

I remembered after my post that I found this thread because I was looking for pics of shaved body side moldings. I like it and I'll be shaving mine tomorrow. :nohomo:
I've gone from driving an '03 Elantra to the TL, so I know how you're feeling about the Corolla, except in the opposite direction.

In short, not paying attention. She was stopped at a shopping center driveway, waiting to turn right. She saw an opening, and then decided to go. Problem was, obviously, there was no opening. She accelerated, hitting me broadside. I played it cool. She admitted fault right there (and never changed her story throughout the insurance investigation), and I just told her, "Shit happens." What could I do? I drive 20k commuting miles a year, and it was bound to happen. I'm just glad I didn't hit her.

Time to add some quick updated photos to this "progress" thread... I utilized spacers on the OEM wheels for a more aggressive stance. I decided to go with 20mm for the front and 25mm for the rear. Unfortunately, this mod is going to require me to roll the rear fenders a bit, so I'm going to hit youtube up for some DIY methods. The car isn't very clean due to the weird spring weather this year in NorCal, but it still showcases nicely.
Next mod, perhaps later this year: Blacked-out headlights with Type-S diffusers.
Yeah... Gonna need to fix that soon. It's only on large dips and bumps that I run into this problem, but it's common enough to happen a couple times a trip.
