Various pics: brake cooling, oem bumper, project mu!

Whats up fellas! I'm going to post a few pics that i've taken in the past few days of some updates with the car. A lot of the race teams i've talked with at VIR have said brake cooling ducts have proven to be very effective with continual use on the track. These ducts that are directly straight to the rotor decrease the temps substantially, and allow for longer pad life. I've also got my cousin working on repairing the versus bumper at the moment. It's accumulated probably 600 small paint chips due to it being driven daily. I went by the original painters bodyshop to pick up the oem bumper, and to my surprise it was still sitting outside,...thought they might have thrown it out by now! This time around i've decided to drive the car around with the oem bumper to preserve the life of the new paint. Also, i won't have to second judge myself when encountering inclines and speed bumps. The intercooler fits behind it with no problem...only had to cut some of the plastic on the inside to allow room for the pipes.

The Project Mu brakes also arrived in due time, as the kit was amazingly IN STOCK in the United States!! Total shock. It's a beautiful 4piston x 4pad forged caliper, 2 piece 13" rotors, and came with 2x project mu stainless steel lines. Super excite! (Borat) I took pics of it behind the spare te-37 to see how it will look once it's installed. Install is scheduled for this coming friday.

These brakes are intended for a CL7 or the Honda Accord Euro R/ TSX Wish me luck in the event they will fit on the UA6. Raymond or ua6spec's discovery is the sole reason i decided to order this kit after he applied the brembo gt kit on his TL which was intended for the TSX. So two thumbs up to him!

...will post the rest after i eat breakfast...

This PMU shift knob is linked to one of the worlds most enduring front wheel drive automatic transmissions.

Oh you liked the arbor lesson haha! I figured it could be appropriate considering project mu is strictly from the land of the rising sun. That tree is actually supposed to be twice as big but Hurrican Fran destroyed half of it back in '96.

I forgot to mention, some project mu's in conjunction with your ridiculous gold setup would be the winningest combo ever known. Bronze = mediocre combo Gold = the death.

I agree...however it'd be mo' money mo' money!

AND since I already have the Brembo's...my concern was the back brakes...EVEN tho it's not necessary cause of the front to rear braking power ratio, It'd look HOT to have a matching Brembo BBK on the Rear...Maybe get the colors changed up

At least I can drool over your set-up cause; !

Thanks Henryk. I opened the box and almost fainted. haha. And don't forget, you'll probably get to see them at Formula drift in about a month or so if you're still planning on driving up for it.

So you think the oem bumper looks hotter?! In that one pic that i posted it looks decent, but in person it looks strange to me. And yeah i got a little dremel excited and decided to put the titec duct in the oem, and i also went ahead and put the varis canards on it too, which i dont have pics of yet. My cousin should be done tomorrow with the repainted versus bumper that i'm anxious to see how good of a job he's done.

yea I think it looks maniac with th oem bumper... omp prelude says you still get gains from it... if you digging it you should leave the oem bumper for everyday and the versus for show honestly....
