dirt roads FTL
i was asked twice last week if I had my car repainted...I just finished doing a light polishing, then added danase wet glaze, and topped that with 4*upp. tried explaing to the people what all was involved in keeping the car looking its best....they both said it was because "someone did a good job painting my car"!

Idk, that's why I said it was a bathroom scale!
My dad has one that hangs and you put what you want to weigh on the hook so I'll put a strap on the rim and weigh it that way. I'll let ya'll know but according to Forgestar...
http://www.forgestar.com/blog/?p=374
18×8.5 +48 17.6 lbs
18×9.5 +48 19.4 lbs
18×10 +42 19.2 lbs
18×12 +68 20.0 lbs
So mine approx. weighs 19 lbs or under.

^^^ light weight wheels are prone to bend and breaks....maybe to improve the quality of construction they had to sacrifice on the weight by couple lbs....

Maybe, thought about that after I typed that
Either way, they're still lightweight for being a 18x9.

very bad coz i want to be around 15lbs....and i actually have found the wheel i absolutely love....and they are not as played out as the CE28N, TE37 and RPF01's....and they are right at 16lbs for 17x9....
now to convince the wifey that I have to drop monies on the rims

so am thinking of driving it around until its time for new tires and then sell just the wheels....I had em on Azine as well but stopped bumping that thread as I didnt want to deal with shipping....

^^^ Jeremy, i honestly want to make the full use of "not having BBK" and get some lightweight 16's....
am not sure how its gonna look thow....wish someone had some nice 16's around so i can test fit and take some pix....
another problem with 16's is, getting 16x9 or 16x9.5 is tough....16x8 is pretty common....i would like to run a 9 or a 9.5" wheel....

^^^ now thats another reason why I havent even tried a test fitment LOL....
but on the other hand, you will be under 30lbs per corner with tires....so even if you are 28lbs and usually with stock rims people are around 48lbs/corner....thats like 80lbs off the car....and 320lbs of dynamic weight

Anil...I think Tim will be the first to admit that looking cool was out the window in exchange for being fast as fk and light as fk.
If you're going all the way, go for it, man. You can fit plenty of rubber on an 8" wheel but I promise you that 16's will look TINY unless of course you slam your car on 16's in which case it won't look THAT bad...you'll just look Mexican. BUT, there are worse things in life!

umm, I have done my part with the first true dual exhaust....waiting on someone else to be the guinea pig with the 16's LOL....
well Jeremy, am trying to look good at the same time....i do have the aspec kit on, and the roof spoiler and other stuff which i bet Tim would take off in a heart beat and drop another 40-50lbs....but am trying to still stay in a "looks good" thread as well....
yes, i think on an 8" i can run a 255 which is a ton of rubber....let me try fitting the 16" rims on there and see how it looks....
