No. Lying would be to try to sell it as a TypeS. Everybody mods. Do you know how many of those badges they sell on ebay? Do you have any idea how many SS camaros there are? Its not lying. The bible says to not be a liar of the tongue. God hates a lying tongue. A TypeS badge is not lying unless i tried to.sell it as a TypeS and therefore profit from it. So you're stretching the definition of lying.

America is full of expression and liberty and I can say what I want.

No but seriously, besides the badge, the car looks nice. only thing that catches my eye is it seems like your Type S wheels are a brighter silver compared to the dark gray we are used to on the Type S. Not dissing the wheels, but im just curious.

Thanks but the badge is oem equipment and it looks great on my car.. Everyone who.sees is say its very nice and they cant tell.a difference... So i let them drool then i tell them i modded it. And they cant beleive.it. then i show them the red light interioir and the typeS steering wheel and the aluminium pedals and the full cluster conversion, and they see the front bumper and oem drl bulbs, and they smell the.inside and they said it smells like new. And they are amazed. And im not done yet with the typeS mods. Soon I'll get the.engine.cover.. Hope it doesn't rub everyone the wrong way... *Shrug* if acura sells it to me.. Then i am ok wid it.

Soooo you're not a liar. ..

But a ricer and a poser?

Well as they say. ..As the 3g TL gets cheaper to get the more we will see ghetto mods like this.

Coulda at least changed out the base exhaust with quads.

I understand why people are giving Chad shit for TLS badges on a TL (not my cup of tea), but at least it looks like he's done quality work. We should just appreciate that he's willing to share his progress/work.

This is the result of slow.progress after 3 years. So it takes time to get to everything. And i think you are just trying to cause trouble because my car is anything but ghetto. I sell parts to peopleand I have seen several that are ghetto. There is only 1 that i thought was nearly as nice as mine.. But even then, mine.was cleaner. So you are wrong. And no im not a liar because i tell people that its a base TL ..just like i tell you the same and expose these pictures of the exhaust.on acurazine. So its not a secret. And I'm not a liar. But how would you know what a liar is? A liar calling another person a liar. Funny.

it might be one of those OEM replica from Ebay, I know they do make it in silver color instead of dark gun metal like the OEM one.

I think there was a thread where Chad stated that he got them polished to lighter silver.. It could be someone else's ride that I'm talking about but I do recall seeing a black base TL with Waffles being polished. I don't know.. I get confused since we all have the exact same cars..

I personally think the car looks great, even with all the Type-S mods on a base. It's clean for it's look. I guess my only question would be, if you really like the Type_S, why didn't he get one in the first place? No dissing.. just saying

Chad, you went to a lot of trouble to make your base TL look like a Type S. Why not just buy a Type S?

I didn't get a TypeS because I didn't know about a typeS in 2010/2011. Then after a did a few things like timing belt service I didn't think it was worth trading because of trade-in value. And I didn't want to trade for another TL, like the same car. And I still feel that way because if I trade I will get a much newer car and something more sporty than a TypeS, and probably a lot more expensive. And actually, most of the difficult mods were a result of the car being an 2005 instead of an 07/08, rather than a "typeS". And that is mainly because of the DRL's, the airbag light issue after cluster change, and tpms. Plus, the differences between a UA6 and a UA7 is not obvious as a new TL buyer. Some things were easy to swap out and other things were difficult, like solving the airbag light issue which no one has done before. But I sold a lot of my original parts.. So, I was able to recoup some of the $, but I still have a few things left. But I am coming to close on it. Someone above said summer is coming. wait till summer. That sounds like a good plan. Maybe a Z06. haha I wouldnt mess with a plain jane vette. Because I learned 1 thing from this TL. I ain't ever doing this again!

I forgot, another reason I got the 05 is that I was trying to not spend too much. And I couldn't tell a difference because I didnt see any side by side. AND If I had known I was going to be ok financially, I would have jumped up..

Looks good. But i wouldn't buy a new corvette. I would get the c6 z06. But thats what makes the market! A bigger hole to dig would be buying a car that will lose 15k the first year. ..cons8dering trade-in. But hey maybe you are wealthy. Im just a squirrel tryn to get a nut. Haha

Btw.. The new z06 is a different animal than your corvette. And I AGREE.. I would not put a z06 emblem on it. I have seen c6's that have done that and it looks stupid most the time because they dont do any mods or upgrades..! Thats redic. You gotta at least make some mods before you badge it... Otherwise it will look all wrong.

There is nothing plain jane about a non-Z06 vette. I too am a vette fan and a previous owner (C5 FRC and Z06, base Z51 C6, C6 Z06) and loved each and every one of them. I couldn't imagine how amazing that C7 has to be. Steven Bell, that thing looks incredible!
