Smile Twiggy's 2006 Anthracite - Ebony

I have waited to post pics because I didn't want to post anything while my car was completely stock. Now that some mods are completed I will post some pictures. I picked up the car the day after Christmas from Acura North Scottsdale and was very pleased with the sales and service there.

Here are some pictures I took of the car a few weeks after I picked it up.

Since those pics were taken I have added...
*A-Spec Body Kit
*AEM CAI
*Tein SS
*15% Tint
*And of course the squash air freshener

These are the pics I took last night.

I have a set of Racing Hart CR's with 235x35x19'' Toyo Proxy T1-R's sitting at home waiting to be mounted. The hold up on those is because I bought 1 TPMS sensor to make sure it would work with the 2 piece wheel. The shop that mounted and balanced it said they would be fine so I purchased the other 3. The wheels are silver with a chrome lip. I originally ordered Antharcite with a chrome lip but about 3 weeks after ordering them I was informed that that color was discontinued. After being pissed off about the rim color for a few weeks I am over it and confident the silver will look just fine.

I realize some of these pictures suck ass because of lighting and the not so great camera, but once the wheels are on I will take better pictures and add them to this thread.

Your feedback will be enjoyed!

I just realized how shitty the stock EL42's really were. I dropped my car with the Teins last Thursday. Dropped the car roughtly 1.75''. The ride was actually pretty good with the drop. I put on my 19's with 35 series tires and the ride IMPROVED, a lot from the EL42's! It's a shame that Acura sells these cars with that tire.

wow, your car awsome. Looks way better than before.
Where did you get the tein ss from? That is a really cheap price; every place I look, they say it is about 1000 bucks. Where did you mount the EDFC? Can you take pics of where you mounted it

I hate teaser pics.

Just kidding!!! I can't wait to see more. How many inch of lip did those rims give you?

What are the specs on the wheels and tires please?

I order all of my stuff from a place in Tucson Arizona that is formerly known as Apex Motorsports. The shop is now under new ownership and called Addictive Racing. I have purchased a lot of stuff through them over the years and I get a pretty good price. I also see first timers come in there and get great deals. There prices are really aggressive and thats why they do so much business.

I would need to measure the lip but i'm guessing it's in the 1 1/2'' - 2'' range. Once I get back from Mexico I will take some more pics so you can all see the entire ride. The tires are Toyo Proxy T1-R's 235x35x19's and the wheels are 19x8.5 with a +38mm offset.

Thanks for the comments.

The EDFC is an additional purchase that I have not done yet. If I do it I will wait for a new strut bar to be made for the car. I just don't want to remove or hack away at the stock one. I like the idea that other people on this forum have used the Greddy Strut Bar for the '03+ Accord but I'm not very confident about only using one bolt into the frame instead of 2 or 3.

I got the car Aligned right after I put the wheels on and lowered it. The toe on the front left and the right rear were really fucking jacked up. The guy that aligned the car said those tires were basically dragging on the ground. My rear camber is pretty bad too. -2.10 on each side and I'd really ike it to be at -.05, so a camber kit will be installed soon. The front camber was a little bit better but still not great. Here is the printout of the alignment if anyone is interested.

Sick ride man.

I had a question. I want to buy some aftermarket rims as well, most likely Volks, but I was worried about the TPMS sensors. How am I able to determine if the rims I want will work with the TPMS? Thanks!

hey twig... love the avatar! i saw your post about getting a camber kit. It's really not needed bro. Just get a good alignment and make sure that your TOE is perfect. As far as camber goes, it's ok to have a little camber. Look @ the 350z and you will see the REDICULOUS camber they use stock. Camber is not the issue. It's TOE IN/OUT that will cause the tire wear. NOT CAMBER. Just my Maybe it will save you a few $$. Anyways, how is AZ. I was thinking of moving down there next year. Stay

I did get an alignemt at Acura and my toe is in the acceptable range on all 4 corners. I know camber is not a huge issue but I would still like it at about -.05. I am still undecided about the camber kit because of other things I want to do first.

AZ is great. My family has a beach house on mission and I can tell you that I love So Cal as well, but if you are moving to AZ you will love it as long as you are in a nice area. It's beautiful, just real HOT!

I got the wheels for $510 a piece. Pretty good deal concidering other places I priced. Most shops/websites wanted $550-$700 per wheel.

Yes I have thought about it because I originally ordered them in gunmetal, but was told 3 weeks later they were discontinued. I am going to keep them silver for now. I really am happy with the look, but ya never know. Color matching is still in the back of my mind.
